Social Assistance: Help vulnerable populations

Public authorities have ambition to improve quality of life of their citizens by:

• Facilitating the mobility of disabled people in their town,
• Managing subsidies granted by social services to refugee centers for Asylum Seekers or underprivileged people,
• Financially helping families to meet their food expences,
• etc. . .

According to the needs, Service Vouchers and Cards  activity offers tailor-made services such as:

• Service Card,
• Food Voucher,
• Solidarity Voucher,
• etc. . .

Since 2001, the Social Pass is a voucher financed by the Argentine government to provide basic necessities to disadvantaged groups, such as families on low incomes, children suffering from malnutrition, and flood victims.

Since 2007, the La Caixa Voucher, from the Social Works foundation, part of the La Caixa bank, is given out to families identified by partner NGOs as having children under the age of 16 living in situations of poverty.
It enables them to buy goods (food, clothing) and services (optical, care) in convenience stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets, and from health professionals.
